Four days ago, someone asked on the website Nextdoor: “Does anyone know what is being constructed up on Northwest 24th near the Benton Woods roundabout?” I had wondered the same thing when a bike ride took me past this location in North Albany on April 8.


N. Albany project switches to 80 townhouses

A North Albany subdivision originally approved for 22 single-family homes has been built to accommodate 80 townhouses instead.


As expected, a new subdivision off Ellingson

This July the Albany City Council annexed 20 acres of farmland and a mobile home at Lochner and Ellingson Roads. Now, as expected, a nationwide homebuilding company has filed a tentative subdivision plat for 101 houses on the land.

The Albany City Council Monday had a few questions, and then it agreed to have the staff draft an agreement under which the city would contribute $500,000 toward street construction for a platted subdivision in South Albany.


Pheasants? NA subdivision filed

The Albany Planning Division has received a tentative plat for a 148-lot subdivision that would cover most of 47.5 acres of open field in North Albany and require the felling of 22 trees including three big old Oregon white oaks.
