
What are they building there? That’s a question I get now and then, and in the case of 416 Pacific Blvd. S.W. in Albany, the short answer is “a commercial building.”
There’s been some question about access to and from the planned site of a new Albany police station on Pacific Boulevard S.W. (Highway 99E). Â Today there’s new information on that point from Ron Irish, the city’s transportation systems analyst.
Here’s a closer look at the site where the Albany City Council would like to build a new police headquarters. It’s off Pacific Boulevard S.W., just north of the medical office complex north of 29th Avenue. (I wish the place would get an address to make describing it less cumbersome.)
Seen up close, those sewer grates are safe
Friday’s short video tour of bike lanes along Highways 20 and 99E (Albany’s Santiam Highway and Pacific Boulevard) caused a least a couple of viewers to worry about the sewer grates as they flashed by.
