Sometimes it takes a while before outsiders notice that a business is gone or has moved. This apparently is the case with a big call center that shared space in the Heritage Plaza commercial center in Albany.
Maybe this is the solution to the shopping cart problem that has plagued Albany and presumably other towns as well.
Except for a coffee kiosk, the southwest corner of Santiam Highway and Clay Street in Albany looks pretty empty most of the time. That might change under new ownership of the land.
Some left turns will become impossible on Santiam Highway between Waverly Drive and Clay Street in Albany once ODOT gets through with a safety project there.

Bus station or bike lane? It’s both
A bike ride last week brought me to what has to be the busiest bus stop of the Albany Transit System. And as you can see, buses stopping there take up pretty much the entire bike lane on that side of the street.
