The City of Albany has received its second request to convert a single-family subdivision to “middle housing” at twice the density previously approved.
A subdivision for seven proposed townhouses off Gibson Hill Road in North Albany meets requirements in the city development code, so the Albany Planning Commission Monday affirmed its approval by the planning staff, rejecting an appeal.
A North Albany subdivision originally approved for 22 single-family homes has been built to accommodate 80 townhouses instead.
