Pacific Power has offered to give the Albany urban renewal district (CARA) $63,548 to set up public charging stations for electric vehicles downtown.

Albany Mayor Sharon Konopa called it “one ugly piece of equipment.” It’s a voltage regulator assembly, and Pacific Power plans to install it on city-owned property just north of the park-and-ride station off North Albany Road.

Pacific Power to expand Hazelwood sub
Pacific Power intends to expand its Hazelwood Substation in West Albany, and the city’s hearings board will review the utility’s request in a virtual hearing scheduled for July 30.
