When Pacific Power wanted to install three voltage regulators on North Albany Road in 2019, then Mayor Sharon Konopa objected to the installation’s appearance. Now there’s another issue: They don’t work.

Looks of electric equipment bug mayor

Albany Mayor Sharon Konopa called it “one ugly piece of equipment.” It’s a voltage regulator assembly, and Pacific Power plans to install it on city-owned property just north of the park-and-ride station off North Albany Road.
