Albany and Millersburg may face competition for the state’s $25 million to develop a mid-Willamette Valley intermodal transportation and reloading center. Lebanon and perhaps Eugene-Springfield may also submit applications, the Albany City Council heard Monday.
Visitors at North Albany County Park may start seeing changes in the next few years based on a new master plan. Developed over the last couple of years with lots of outreach to and input from the people in surrounding neighborhoods, the plan goes to the Benton County Board of Commissioners for approval in December.
Downtown building’s roof caves in
Albany city officials are worried about the stability of a downtown historic building after its roof caved in earlier this month. The walls have been braced, and the owner is said to be working on a plan.
