Given the reports last week on conditions in “Marvin’s Garden,” it was clear that Albany’s designated camping site for homeless people would have to be shut down.

CHANCE recovers a slice of Albany history

For nearly 30 years ending in the fall of 2015, at the corner of Third and Lyon in downtown Albany there was a restaurant named Pizza King. Turns out the name had historical roots, and those are now being recovered, not by chance but by CHANCE.


Riverfront redesign project gets green light

A team of consultants led by Walker Macy, a Portland firm, now has the approval of Albany’s urban renewal agency to gather public opinion and then make plans for redeveloping the city’s Willamette Riverfront.
