Some days there’s serious stuff to do and you don’t get a chance to get on the bike until it’s almost too late. Monday was that kind of day.
But this is still July, only a month past the longest day of the year. So even though it was well after 8, I hopped on the bike and managed to get in a few miles just riding about the neighborhood.
Sunset on Monday was at 8:48. When I leaned my bike against a power pole to catch a shot of the sun going down behind the foothills of the Coast Range, Google Photos said it was 8:38.
Better hurry up then and get back to the barn. I mean the garage. (hh)
And a fine sunset you caught up with! Thank you for taking it all in for us!
I have to tell you that riding a bike at sunset or sunrise is dangerous. Ask Joey Harrington who got hit from behind at sunset and the driver did not see him because of the sun. My wife and I had the same experience in the country where the rider was in the shade and the sun was in our eyes.
I’ll second that. My son got hit by a car that turned in front of him. The driver said it was because the sun was in his eyes.
If you can’t see and hit someone, you are driving careless and too fast for the conditions.
Great picture, Hasso. Thanks.
