This building on First Avenue in downtown Albany has been closed since part of its façade collapsed during attempted repairs more than a year ago. But now the owner has submitted repair plans for the city’s review.
As busy as the crews working on Albany’s $8 million downtown “streetscape” project have been, they’re not going to get it all done this year as city officials had originally hoped.
At first glance this detour looked contradictory, but on second glance I saw the little pedestrian on the yellow sign. Looks like the city and the contractor are making sure walkers can find their way through the street construction in downtown Albany this summer.
