It was Linn County that caused about two dozen bushes and small riverbank trees on the Willamette to be cut down last week.
A week ago, I was out of town when someone got my attention with an email message. This was on May 7, and I couldn’t do anything about it at the time.
Linn County now owns the Wheelhouse, the four-story office building whose tenants on the north side have a commanding view of the Willamette River.
For years the Linn County commissioners have been trying to find more space in Albany for county government functions. Now they have their eyes on the Wheelhouse, the four-story office building overlooking the Willamette River.
Good news for users of Albany’s riverside Dave Clark Path: Closed for construction since last summer, the central segment of the walking and biking trail is likely to reopen in a couple of months.
Trimming trees to preserve the view
