Trains blocked by sewer work? Not really

For weeks the Portland & Western’s Water Avenue rail line has been blocked by equipment to build a sewer pump station, and you may have thought this has crippled railroad operations. But apparently it hasn’t, because the track is opened up again every night.


A roadblock on Columbus N.E.

As far as at-grade railroad crossings go, the one on Albany’s Northeast Columbus Street wasn’t exactly a busy one. Now it’s even less busy because the street has been closed where it crosses the track.
