Without trucks we wouldn’t eat, or have many of the things we do have. I know that. Truckers are making a living. I know that too. But do they really have to pass each other all that much, holding up the rest of the traffic on I-5?
Do you think Albany will do anything else to keep trucks from hitting the railroad overpass on First Avenue? Me neither, but at least the subject came up — briefly, and without resolution — at Wednesday’s meeting of the Central Albany Revitalization Area advisory board.
Street scene: Why that ‘center’ line is off center
Why, Bill McLagan wanted to know, did they restripe Seventh Avenue near Hill Street in Albany some years ago so the center line was no longer in the center? Good question. If you notice it at all, it certainly looks odd.
