The sign advises caution because the “sidewalk” is uneven. This is not a sidewalk but Albany’s Periwinkle Bikepath, but otherwise the sign is right.

The southeast corner of Geary Street and Queen Avenue in Albany will look different and busier when a developer goes through with plans for three apartment buildings there.

Why city’s creeks are still flowing

If we needed another reason to value and maintain the Albany-Santiam Canal, we’re seeing it now. We’re seeing it in the creeks that keep flowing through town and are keeping water in the ponds of city parks despite this summer’s drought and unusual heat.
