A question was circulating among people with their eyes open in downtown Albany over the last few days: What’s with all those numbers in the windows of the former St. Francis Hotel?

If the owners follow through on their plans, the building believed to be the oldest wood-framed commercial structure still standing in downtown Albany will get a new look. An old look, that is.

On the riverfront: Treatment for opioid addicts

Based on a notation on a remodeling permit, I reported in April that an “outpatient addiction treatment facility” was going into the historic Avery Mill Building on the Albany riverfront. Today I found out a little more.
