The federal government will go ahead and demolish an old and dilapidated building at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), but it is considering steps to preserve two other buildings on the Albany campus.

Calapooia Commons: Now it’s complete
For the last eight years or so, my bike rides through Albany have occasionally taken me past the corner of Fourth Avenue and Calapooia Street to check on a long-running story. Now the story has reached its end.
