Albany seeks to improve riverside trail

Albany city officials have an idea for an improved walking and biking trail along the south side of the Willamette River. The “multi-use path” would follow the route of an existing dirt track that links Bowman and Simpson parks.

Bowman dock cleared of debris, for now

I didn’t know it at the time, but when I reported on the big buildup of debris at the Bowman Park dock last Friday, the job of clearing the mess had already been scheduled by the Albany parks maintenance crew.

Archaeologists dig at Albany apartment site

An archaeological team continued working Monday at the construction site of “The Banks” apartment project near Bowman Park on the Willamette River. Exactly what they are finding, if anything, remains a matter of speculation.
