The Albany Senior Center will be “rebranded” as the Riverfront Community Center when it reopens, probably this fall, after being all but shut down since March 2020 because of state rules to slow the spread of the Covid disease.

Staff work continues on a new Albany utility fee to support city services. And while no decision has been made to collect such a fee, no one on the council has objected in any of the meetings where it was discussed.


Council puts Hazelwood Park up for sale

Close neighbors told the Albany City Council Wednesday how much little Hazelwood Park means to them, so much so that they have taken to trimming the grass and keeping ivy from climbing the trees. Half an hour later the council voted 5-1 to put the park up for sale.
