Flash: Bike lights on bridge once again blink

In the interest of keeping track, I’d like to report that the bike warning lights on the Ellsworth Street Bridge in Albany have been repaired. I tried them Friday afternoon and found that in fact they do work again.

Of the many ways to get from Albany to Seattle and back, taking Amtrak is probably the cheapest and least stressful. Oregon officials are still working on a plan to make the Oregon leg of the trip more convenient, and a little faster too.

Drivers on Albany’s Second Avenue will soon be seeing something new to catch their attention. The city council Monday called for the installation of a radar speed display sign on Second at Thurston Street, a block before vehicles go over the hump of the railroad track.
