Bill Clotere, a reader in North Albany, had a suggestion for a “topic for a boring day”: Trash cans in the bike lanes, sometimes left there long after the pick-up day has passed.
There’s a good chance the Albany City Council will ask voters in 2020 to approve a bond issue to pay for reconstructing half a dozen streets including Albany Avenue. Voters might also be asked to decide on an extra monthly utility fee to pay for street maintenance and repairs.
Don’t take this the wrong way…
You wouldn’t think people need to be reminded of the obvious, but in the experience of the Albany police, it helps to do so from time to time. Or at least to make the attempt.
