Whether this works if speed control is the goal, I’m not sure. Yachats, on the central coast in Lincoln County, seems to think it’s worth a try.
This store chain likes to expand

Every time you turn around in Oregon now, a new little “Dollar General” store pops up. This one in Yachats appeared within the past few months, about the same time as other outlets in the chain opened in Philomath and Waldport.

On the coast, a landmark is gone
If they haven’t been to the central coast for a month and go there now, Albany visitors will discover that a landmark, the building housing the former Landmark restaurant in Yachats, has disappeared.
