On my bike ride to Millersburg Saturday, I happened to see, from a distance, railroad cars sitting under the giant crane at the Mid-Valley Intermodal Center, which otherwise has remained unused since it opened in December 2022.

Millersburg reloading center: Still waiting

Five months after Gov. Kate Brown and others celebrated the completion of the Mid Willamette Valley Intermodal Center, the Millersburg reloading center has yet to handle its first cargo.

The speeches have been made and the ribbon has been cut, and any day now the Mid-Willamette Valley Intermodal Center in Millersburg should start handling freight.
