[youtube video=”ZfPYk8BzR-c”] Nice paving job — and wide too! That was my first impression Wednesday of the newly rebuilt segment of Riverside Drive just outside of Albany. On the bike, the wider road really makes a difference, even before the lane markings are installed.


Riverside widening: Next spring

Linn County’s long-awaited widening of 2.4 miles of Riverside Drive will have to wait until next spring. But then it will be completed by June 22.


Bids opened for Riverside Drive

The Linn County Road Department  this morning opened bids for widening about 2.4 miles of Riverside Drive from Oakville Road to Meadow Road, a long-planned project that will make the road safer for both motorists and bicyclists.
