The Obama administration has let it be known that expanding power-generating wind farms is more important than protecting golden and bald eagles. Federal officials announced on Friday (Dec. 6) that wind power companies will be allowed to kill or injure a certain number of eagles for up to 30 years without penalty.
Same power, higher prices
As it does once a year, Pacific Power has again reminded its customers that they can pay more for electricity if they wish. Why anyone would wish to do so is hard to imagine. But some people evidently choose the more expensive options, thinking they are doing the environment a favor. But are they really?
