So what comes next for CARA, the central Albany urban renewal district? Mayor Sharon Konopa has an idea, and she mentioned it Saturday at the completion ceremony of the city’s two-year downtown streetscape project.
In other riverfront news, Albany-area boaters are still waiting for the new floating dock at Takena Landing, but the ramp at Bowman Park is once again clear of woody debris and OK for putting boats in and taking them out.
On the riverfront: What kind of development?
With nothing more urgent on my plate, I stopped on the Albany riverfront Tuesday evening to look around. What I saw was nothing sensational or new, but it prompted me to say:
