Shelter seeks housing for ex-felons

If you served your time after a felony conviction, you may have a hard time finding a place to live even though you have landed a job and otherwise gone straight. So you end up at a homeless shelter such as Albany’s Helping Hands.

Ninth Avenue campers have until July 8
Homeless people camping in their cars on Ninth Avenue between Jackson Street and Pacific Boulevard in Albany can still do so, but not for much longer. The neighbors and the city council want them gone.
