Every few years I take a new photo outside Albany’s sewage treatment plant to illustrate yet another step in the city’s long-running struggle to overcome the fact that part of it doesn’t work.

Suit details city damage claims

Albany is asserting damage claims totaling some $84 million in the lawsuit it has filed over problems at the city’s wastewater treatment plant and the nearby constructed wetlands, the Talking Water Gardens.

Stink solution proves elusive

Residents downwind from the Albany-Millersburg Water Reclamation Facility — you can call it the Albany sewage treatment plant if you want — apparently will have to put up with the continued failure of one aspect of the $70 million plant for quite another while.
