Red light cameras: Another look

Written January 8th, 2015 by Hasso Hering

Red light cameras are under fire across the country, but not so far in Albany or elsewhere in Oregon. A closer look is in order. What do those other states and cities know that we don’t?

New life for an old church?

Written January 1st, 2015 by Hasso Hering

This may be the year someone rescues the old church at Albany’s Main Street and Santiam Road before it falls down. Two parties have submitted proposals to acquire the city-owned property at 401 S.E. Main and do something with it, and the city staff is analyzing the offers.
