As expected, the Albany Community Development Department has approved an increase in the number of proposed apartments at “The Banks,” a planned housing complex on the Willamette River across Geary Street from Bowman Park.

On July 1, 2019, the Albany Planning Commission approved a site plan for 96 apartments and nine townhouses covering a 6-acre site on the Willamette River near Bowman Park. I wonder how the plans are coming every time I pass the acreage on my bike.

The site plan for a proposed 105-unit apartment complex on the Willamette River has won the tentative approval of the Albany city planning staff.  Neighbors who submitted written comments now have until June 10 to ask for a public hearing before the Albany Planning Commission.
