While I was on a bike ride Saturday, a bird caught my eye as it landed on a pole on the on-ramp to the Pacific Boulevard viaduct in Albany. But that was not the reason I stopped.

Fixing Albany streets: more work on Queen
As Albany drivers have noticed, part of Queen Avenue is partially closed for construction. This is the first phase of a two-phase project that has to be finished by Nov. 1.
