This time, the ospreys got there first

A year ago, a couple of ospreys were displaced from their nest on the Albany railroad bridge by a pair of Canada geese. This year the osprey evidently got there first.


A riverfront conflict, and the geese have won

This is not the first time this has happened, but once again the big nest that generations of ospreys built on the Albany railroad bridge has been taken over by a pair of Canada geese.


High above river, a nest fight looms

Mr. and Mrs. Osprey are not going to happy if they now return to their nest atop the steel railroad bridge across the Willamette River at Albany. Somebody else has taken up residence in their customary abode.
