Catching up with new Albany car lots

While I wasn’t paying attention, Albany gained two big automobile businesses over the last year. A bike ride in Saturday’s sunshine took me past both of them.

New Albany car dealerships in the works

In case you had not noticed, two new car dealerships are under construction in Albany. On an errand east of I-5 earlier this month, I shot a couple of photos of one of the sites.

A week or two ago, somebody asked me what was going on at the former site of the Hertz car sales lot on Airport Road in Albany. I had no idea but told him I would try to find out.

A Texas automobile dealer intends to open a new Albany store, according to a filing with the Albany Community Development Department.
