If you live on the edge of Albany, or just beyond, a quick bike run to the nearest roadside farm stand is one way to observe Thanksgiving.
This one is on Northwest Scenic Drive, and it has been shown on this website before.
You probably can’t make a meal out of what’s available at your average roadside stand. But you can pick up an extra or two, from apples to herbs and salsa, or things like that.
You also get a little bit of pedaling exercise, not a bad thing on a holiday the main feature of which is a feast.
If you see this today, on Nov. 23, happy Thanksgiving. And thanks for reading the site. (hh)
Happy Thanksgiving, to you, too, Hasso. Great blog post. Good picture of the stand, too.
Happy Thanksgiving Hasso. I did get in a good walk this morning while my husband raked the leaves in our front yard. Then we got together with family for a lovely meal where everyone brought something. Beautiful weather and a nice drive to Salem for the day.
Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Hasso!
Happy Thanksgiving! I enjoy reading your stories about little hometown! Say “hello” to Kathy from me! We worked together at CMS! She was The Best!
