Hwy. 34 loses ‘safety’ label

There was good news and bad news — and then some more good news — in the latest announcement from ODOT concerning Oregon Highway 34 from Interstate 5 to the Corvallis Bypass.


Nice crossing job …

Before … and after … … a paving crew made improvements on the railroad crossing on Riverside Drive. Nice job! In case you’re wondering, the photos were taken from opposite sides of the tracks. The job was done Thursday and the road reopened Friday. (hh)

Crossing update on Riverside

And finally tonight, this update: A crew working for the Portland & Western Railroad spent Thursday tearing out the bumpy pavement at the Riverside Drive crossing and putting down new asphalt.
