New rules for city planning: Climate, equity

As if Oregon’s land use regulations were not complicated enough, the state is working on additional rules in order to slow climate change and be fair to “priority populations” such as racial and other minorities.

There’s no sign in Albany that developers are waiting for the new state housing law to kick in, the law that seeks to encourage more people to live closer together and start using the bus instead of their car.
