The July heat wave came at just the right time. This has been the first week that Albany’s new children’s splash pad was open in the renovated Monteith Riverpark.
A week ago Monday, on June 17, the construction fencing around Monteith Riverpark had disappeared, and I took that as an opportunity to make a quick tour of the reconstructed park.
And in other exciting news, the new crossing to the Dave Clark Riverfront Path at Montgomery Street in Albany has been opened for public use.
If you were looking for a shorthand progress report on Albany’s Waterfront Project, and even if you weren’t, City Manager Peter Troedsson provided one on Friday.
