What was I doing in Albany’s Hackleman Park this afternoon? Taking a break on a bike ride, sitting on a bench in the shade and sipping a lemonade, as you can see in the photo above.
The bike occasionally takes me past the 1100 block on Sixth Avenue across from Hackleman Park in central Albany. Last week I noticed how the area has been spruced up with the completion of this building’s conversion to an apartment house.
Pickleball news: Hackleman courts fixed up
The bright blue color drew my attention as the bike and I passed Hackleman Park on Tuesday afternoon. The pickleball court had been repaired and — as I discovered when I stopped the bike — reopened for public use.
