Linn County now owns the Wheelhouse, the four-story office building whose tenants on the north side have a commanding view of the Willamette River.
Several times a week I take the bike along the Dave Clark Riverfront Path in Albany. That’s what I did again on Sunday because I wanted to take advantage of the weather, which was exceptionally fine.
I was out of town for a while and had not been on the Dave Clark Riverside Path in Albany for more than a week. When I got back on it Friday, something on the path had changed and something else not.
Pavement issues in Albany come in all sizes. This one is surely one of the smallest and least troublesome. But it’s on the Dave Clark Path, so it rates a notice on my riverfront beat.
Branches crashing down from the riverside trees are not a common hazard on Albany’s Dave Clark Riverfront Path. But it can happen.
My riverfront beat: Brush clearing on the bank
As you probably know, my bike rides in Albany take me along the Dave Clark Riverfront Path several times a week. So it’s hard not to notice that the vegegation along the top of the bank has been cleared.
