Albany Mayor Sharon Konopa has signed a paper declaring a “local state of emergency as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.” The city council will meet Wednesday to ratify the resolution.

Target practice to escape from corona
With time on my hands Thursday afternoon, I paid a visit to the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club at Saddle Butte east of Shedd, combining a bit of target practice with the social distancing we are obliged to practice now.
