With nothing more urgent on my plate, I stopped on the Albany riverfront Tuesday evening to look around. What I saw was nothing sensational or new, but it prompted me to say:

Plan to increase parking on riverfront lot

The Albany Planning Division has invited public comment on what seems to be the first work proposed as part of the city’s Waterfront Project — making changes on Water Avenue between the two highway bridges including the city-owned parking lot there.

Water Avenue: A key in riverfront project

A rainy Saturday afternoon during the corona crisis may not be the best time to image how Albany’s Water Avenue could possibly be enhanced to make it attractive as a gateway to the Willamette River just on the other side.
