The coronavirus shutdown has not stopped the planning process for another big Albany housing complex east of I-5, the 264-unit Brandis Meadows Apartments southeast of the Knox Butte roundabout.
Now, self-service allowed at gas stations

Citing the coronavirus emergency, the State Fire Marshal’s Office today allowed customers to pump their own fuel at Oregon gas stations if they don’t enough attendants. But in Albany the word had not gotten around everywhere.

Albany to consider emergency business aid

On Day Five of Oregon’s partial corona shutdown, the mid-valley weather made outdoor recreation less inviting, Albany Mayor Sharon Konopa indefinitely extended the city’s state of emergency, and the city announced that the council will be asked to consider a loan program to help local businesses until federal aid arrives.
