If you live on the edge of Albany, or just beyond, a quick bike run to the nearest roadside farm stand is one way to observe Thanksgiving.
One day last week I rode the bike to Albany’s Lehigh Neighborhood. The point was to follow up on a story last May about the planned replacement of the playground at Lehigh Park.
Several times a week I take the bike along the Dave Clark Riverfront Path in Albany. That’s what I did again on Sunday because I wanted to take advantage of the weather, which was exceptionally fine.
The source of Albany’s drinking water continues to carry a lot of sediment or mud, but so far the stuff coming out of our taps is just as clear as always.

From the photo you might be able to see why this is one of my favorite places to ride a bike near Albany, especially when the weather is nice.
