My usual riverfront bike route goes past Albany’s Monteith Riverpark, where a contractor for the Portland & Western Railroad now is rebuilding the crossing at the entrance to the park.
Night work on the Ellsworth Street Bridge in Albany starts either this Sunday or a week later, on April 1. There seems to be some uncertainty about the starting date.

Neighbors now don’t have to worry that the city will reopen the handy shortcut from 36th Avenue to Ermine Street near South Albany High School.
