A perspective from Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley

Too much sun? Aha, a hat!

Written July 29th, 2014 by Hasso Hering

Comely as they are, the TV weather girls I sometimes watch seem to believe their viewers are too dumb to survive a heat wave on their own. So they advise us to stay out of the sun, drink plenty of water and wear light-colored, loose-fitting outfits. Thus encouraged, I make so bold as to offer advice of my own in the video above.

A hat never comes amiss when the sun would otherwise fry your pate. And it’s nice to have shades against mid-summer’s glare.

You might have figured this out on your own. But just in case you didn’t, watch the video and learn. (hh)
