A perspective from Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley

Thirty seconds of anti-rain

Written January 19th, 2016 by Hasso Hering

I could be wrong, but considering the typical January weather in Oregon’s mid-valley, I figured everybody could use at least 30 seconds of subtropical breezes, palm trees and sunshine.

If the rain gets to you, just play this video and imagine that somewhere on this continent it’s not cold and wet this time of year. But don’t play the video if the image makes you feel worse. (hh)

Hmmm, bet they’d trade their warm sun for more of the rain we have to end their 500 year drought.

Nice having the rain. Might change my view by the end of March, though.

Hey.. as for our rain. Turn off your “devices”, pour a cup of your favorite beverage, go sit out under your patio/covered porch. Sit back, close your weary eyes and enjoy the sound of one of natures most repetitive events! For free…! Marvel at one of the simple acts of our Mother Nature to replenish our earth. JE
