Albany’s newest neighborhood park, Meadow Ridge, is getting a massive new set of climbing rocks. Bad weather held up the installation, but with any luck the pieces may be hoisted into place Saturday morning, Jan. 20.

Spacious Deerfield Park due for an upgrade
Tucked away in the southeast corner of Albany, Deerfield Park is far from my usual bicycle routes, but the bike and I made it there on Feb. 24. I wanted to look around after hearing about plans for making changes in the park.
