Since the start of the Covid pandemic two years ago, the Linn County Board of Commissioners has been holding its weekly meetings as usual, in person and in public, unlike some other state and local government bodies.


Albany students get a day off on Jan. 3

Students in the Albany schools will get an extra day off at the end of their Christmas vacation. The board of Greater Albany Public Schools decided this during its 26-minute special meeting on Thursday night.
