Now and then the bike takes me along 34th Avenue, where for the past year or so construction has been progressing on the ambitious sports complex being built by the Mid Willamette Family YMCA.


YMCA demolishes vacant former jerky store

It was 10 years ago, in August 2010, that the Oberto company pulled out of Albany and closed its meat snack factory and store on Pacific Boulevard at 30th Avenue. Now the former store and deli has been demolished.
