Union Pacific locomotives, kept idling off the main line under Albany’s viaduct, are making considerable noise, as this March 3 report shows. A few days ago I reported them having been shut down and sitting there quietly, but evidently that is not always the case. A neighbor had complained about the persistent noise from parked locomotives. It appears to be an issue still looking for a solution.
