The only point of this entry on hh-today.com is to thank you readers and to wish you all a happy new year, which is what I tried to do here:
Seems like only yesterday that 2022 began. The sad truth is that the older you get, the shorter the calendar years become.
Oh, and if you wonder about the level of the Willamette River on the Albany gauge, which I said I would look up:
The river was at just about 16 feet on Saturday night. It was expected to crest just a little higher Sunday morning, then gradually drop to 12 feet over the next week.
Thanks again for hanging in there. I’ll be back and hope to see you in 2023. (hh)
Happy New Year
Happy New Year! It did go fast this year. Best wishes for 2023.
Hasso,
Happy New Year to you, too, and thank you for your blog. Thanks for the close-up report
and view of the Willamette River. Keep at it. Yes, the days, weeks, months, years go by at warp speed the older you get.
Happy New Year, Hasso, and thanks for all you do! I don’t think time goes faster when we age, just that it becomes relative to our experiences — my great-granddaughter just turned eight and 2022 formed 12.5% of her life and close to 50% of her total memories; I am 74 and 2022 was only 1.35% of my life and I’m forgetting more than I’m learning these days. Time keeps on ticking . . . ticking . . . ticking into the future seems to apply.
Happy New Year Hasso. I look forward to reading more from you next year.
Thank You for all of the informative, reports!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
